Ok, here's the deal

It was a beautiful day yesterday. Nathan and I went for a long walk to try and get this kiddo to understand it's NOT supposed to be inside me forever!

I went to the Dr. later that afternoon after napping for a while only to find myself in a quite meloncholy - borderline gouchy mood. Interesting. No real reason, just was.

So, the Dr. came in a decided that he was going to check and see how i was progressing. He asked if the baby had dropped at all - "NO - I still can't breathe!"
After checking he basically said "hang in there b/c I don't see you going by your due date." SUPER! Just what I was hoping to hear! NOT!!!

So, anyway, I proceeded to mentally give the situation over to the Lord and then cry for the remainder of the evening! LOL I HATE BEING A GIRL!!

He said that after the baby drops it is normally 10-15 days before the baby comes. SUPER!

ok, i am going to end this post for fear of it sounding like I am completely depressed. I am not depressed. honest.

I will write something chipper later! :)

Oh Shyla, I know it's hard to wait at this point, but I guess the baby's just enjoying his/her last days of complete comfort. Keep plugging away. The baby will be here before you know it. We're praying for you.

I'll be praying for you. JA had me up and walking every morning at 5:00 and then again after we got off of work for about a month before Kara came.

Hang in there, girl! It will be worth it. We'll keep praying for you! Hopefully you can find something fun to do to keep your mind off of it; maybe that will help the time pass a little faster.

Shyla,
My sister is due tomorrow and usually goes past her due date. I was just talking with some ladies at school about it. They told me to pass on some information to her that will help her go into labor sooner. After reading your post, I thought I would pass it on to you. Apparently these ladies know from experience as well as from the testimony of others that if you and your husband (let's see, I don't want to turn this to turn into an X rated post, so I will be careful) enjoy the "one flesh union" you will go into labor sooner. I am sure that is the last thing you feel like doing at this point, but hey - you sound desperate!

I prayed for you this morning. God knows the perfect timing for your sweet baby to enter this world. I know you can't wait to see his/her face!! God loves to suprise us (I had twins :) Truly, what a delight it must be for Him to watch us meet our children for the first time. Knowing He's given them to us...what a treasure!

Hang in there girl! I feel like deja vu from 4 months ago. You get to the end and every day feels sooooo long. I was telling my sister you should do a post where all your blogger friends "guess" what you're having and how big it's going to be and on what day and see who gets the closest. Well maybe that's a stupid idea, but anyway, it would keep you occupied to Baby Rohrer make his/her appearance! :)

Aw, Shy! I can imagine how frustrating it is getting for you! But hey, what do the doctors know...they told me I wasn't pregnant and I WAS! Major oopsie! I will pray that the baby is born the same day that it drops!

know what, shy? i couldn't tell that connor had "dropped" as they say. i felt like he was still squished way high when i went into labor. but then again, i think i was looking for more of a "heavenly" lightening. you know, with angels singing and a bright light shining through my belly.
hang in there girl. you know we are all praying for you.

my sister nicole is with me and she said that right before ava was born every day when mike went to work she cried and prayed the whole time asking God to please send her into labor. so know that you are not alone in your tears and many good women before you have prayed to be rid of the bulge and holding a baby. :-)
hope it's sooner than later.

oh dear, i know just how you feel! My doc told me it looked like I was going to go early and then I had to wait 2 weeks after my due date. I'll be praying you don't have to wait that long! Hang in there dear, I'll be praying for you.

Shy:

Here's some lovely tips: My sis-in-law drank castor oil and used her breast pump to help things along. I'm convinced that the tip Kelly mentioned is a myth created by husbands. LOL I guess you can't blame them. They're about to enter a dry season.

praying for you - katie

Hey Shyla - Can't wait to hear the news. Hang in there. I know it's hard to keep waiting. But it really won't be long now. They will induce you before it gets too big. I love you and will be praying for you!

Hey Shyla, I just thought of a story that might encourage you. When I was close to due with Ian, although the doctor said he was low, the older ladies at my church swore up and down that he hadn't dropped yet and it would still be quite some time. I told them what the doctor said and they just scoffed..."there's no way you've dropped yet, it will be a while!" Anyway, much to my delight, I went into labor that next morning and Ian was born. Just goes to show you that no one really knows but God.

Shyla, it won't necessarily be that long. I remember walking and trying to keep busy to try to speed things along, and going to the doctor thinking there must be some progress. There wasn't, and I was discouraged too. I was just starting to think he might have dropped on Thursday and went into labor on Friday morning. It was definitely not 10 days! Plus, my friend was told "See you at next week's appointment," and she had the baby the next day. It still doesn't have to be late!

Shyla,
You may want to listen to Katie. It sounds like something a man would come up with. Afterall, my sister has tried for a week now and she is still not in labor. yikes!
