really quick...

Sorry folks - extremely busy, but wanted to touch base.
I am only in the office from 8am - noon this week (FINALLY) and after that I don't have access to a computer (yet! we just bought one on ebay last week and we are waiting for it to come in the mail! Then, we will all have to pray for highspeed internet so i don't hate blogging with dialup! :) yes, i have been spoiled here in the corporate world!!)

Anyway, i have 9 days left to go and I would ask that you pray for patience! I was checking out fellow blogger Carrie's page this morning for her update on her pregnancy (2nd) and she's been 2 weeks behind me...I clicked on her page and there was her newborn baby girl!!! I had to look again to make sure i clicked on the right blog! :) So, congrats to Carrie and her family on their new little Julia!!

Um....nothing else really, I mean, that I have time to type about. I know that Christina would love to hear me "soapbox" on the Immigrant Boycott going on today, but I will leave you to Fox news to hear all about that. I really need to get home and fold laundry, sew curtain tie backs, organize clutter ETC!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

No matter how much you pray for patience, it is an exciting and anxious time in life. You have had such a sweet spirit and it has been so fun to watch God work in your life. We will miss you in you small pause from blogging. Because honey, once that baby comes home I won't be shocked if your blog is sparce for a few weeks. UNDERSTANDABLY!! We are praying for a speedy delivery for you!!

Hang in there GIRL! You are in THE final stage of it all before your life starts a new chapter! How exciting for you and Nate!

I remember exactly how you are feeling when I was waiting oh so patiently for little Victoria to be born. I thought that those last few days would never come, but before you knew it I was in the hospital hooked up to every monitor, thinking..."not yet...I still have so much to do"

How silly, all long I wanted this little one to come and waited what seemed like an eternity, but when the time finally came I wanted to wait longer? CRAZY!!!

Hang in there girl!!! We are praying for your patience and for a safe delivery!!

Love ya!

I was just thinking about you the other day and am so excited for you! Get done what you can now with your shorter work days, or get some sleep if nothing else (if that's possible!). We're so excited for you and praying for a safe delivery.

Only a little while longer girl! So, this is your very last week of work?! How is it going? I know, I couldn't believe it about Carrie's baby girl! Did you read the labor story? I hear labor/delivery gets MUCH easier with successive kiddos.

We do highspeed internet through yahoo but my mom uses vonage and it's pretty cheap through them. You totally need highspeed. Can you imagine uploading pictures with dialup?!?

I can't wait to read your birthstory on your blog! I am sure it will be here before you know it. I hope you are able to get all of the little things done that you want to before baby Rohrer comes. Hope your computer arrives soon!

I know what it feels like, Shyla. In my church there were lots of babies due in December and then Josiah was due at the end of January. It seemed like all of the December babies were born at least two weeks early, so Josiah felt very late even before he was due. On top of that, my weekly OB/GYN appointments were revealing slow progress, and we were already talking about when we would do an induction. Then Josiah decided to kick things into high gear less than two days later, and he was born a day before he was due :) I'd started to wonder if he'd ever be born, but God's timing was perfect. The day does come!

Unbelievable that the time has come already! (you're probably thinking, "Already! Ha! Let's get this show on the road!") Seems like just a couple months ago I pulled up your page and saw this:

"Ahem. May I have your attention please!" followed by your announcement of an 8-week pregnancy! I'm on pins and needles, waiting to hear your story and see pics of Jackson or Olivia! :) Love you.

shyla, the last few sentences sounded a little blurred. all i could hear was a very fast talking shyla running through her "to do" list. breathe please.....ok that was good. now, i want you to relax for the next few hours after you read this. take a nap. do nothing. whatever it takes. b/c in a few days, you will no longer have the time or energy to do so. and i want you to listen very closely to this young lady.....after your baby comes DO NOT...I REPEAT DO NOT OVER DO IT!! i did and i paid dearly. your house does not have to be clean when people bring over meals. it does not have to be clean when people stop to visit. in fact, this is the one time that you can get away with leaving your underwear in the middle of the living room floor and no one will say anything bad about you...though i would advise against that. :-) let EVERYONE do EVERYTHING that they want. there will be plenty of time to reorganize when you baby is about a month old. take a few weeks off. :-) now that i have dealt with the "soapbox" issue by standing on my own, you don't need to worry about the immigrants.

Shyla I totally AGREE with Christina!!! If I could do it all over again, I would let anyone do whatever they wanted!! I tried to do it all on my own and never should have, but I thought that was what was expected of me...NOT!!! Nothing will be expected of you EXCEPT to get plenty of rest!! Don't do what I did. I ended up in the hospital for 6 days when Victoria was only 5 days old because I pushed and pushed!!! Even if you feel great...RELAX ANYWAY!!!

Karen--that would be me. :) If you're interested, you can read Julia's birth story here: http://carriespregjournal.blogspot.com

Shyla--sounds to me like you are in nesting mode!! :) Don't overdo, though--as others have said, try to rest up as much as you can, both now and then especially after baby comes! You don't have long to go now; hang in there, and you will be holding your beautiful baby before you know it!! :)
