Shyla, I'm no help but I just had to mention that I had the same problem trying to put a ticker on my blog. I'll look forward to hearing what everyone has to say!
I don't know how either, but your post made me laugh. I can certainly sense the frustration.
do you have the upgraded version of blogger? If so, you can just add the html element. with old blogger, I put mine at the very bottom of the page because I couldn't figure out any other way. I just looked in the html for the code that represented the links and pasted it in there - but I think it took about 25 tries!!! Good luck!
I ditto Jenny's advice. I put my ticker below everything on the sidebar since that seemed to be the best place for it. Good luck!
i actually put it in the description section... i do have old blogger though. i went to change settings/description and just pasted it in the box. my template allows it to show at the very top of my blog. i just prefer it there.

I went to ticker.com made my ticker than Ctl + C and paste (ctl + V)in my description box on my homepage.
Sorry to butt in on the advise, but I tried those and it came up like Shyla's where you can't read the writing. Too strange...maybe my computer is just weird or something.
The one thing I did notice is how the blogs are layed out - I actually changed my background and got a different format. You may not want to - I didn't do it for a ticker but to be able to list blogs I liked to look up.
How come every comment I leave (and a lot of other people's comments) says "anonymous"? I am signing in? If it doesn't show - this is Kelly Glupker
