wahoo! daddy's home today...

you should have seen me 30 seconds ago as I anxiously awaited the appearing of my blogging page!! my legs were jittery and my fingers ready to pounce on the keyboard!! Jackson is NAPPING!! (small feat b/c my son is very alert and doesn't nap unless I put him in the car and go shopping....boys!!) and...nate's working from home today, so i have a computer for a short little bit!

i have been reading your blogs this morning but haven't commented b/c i am afraid in the time it takes for the comment box to pop up (yes, it's THAT slow!), jackson will wake up and I won't get to post!! so i am frantically typing fast and i am not even using proper punctuation to my husband's dismay just so i can get this done! :)

BLESSINGS>>>>> As many of you will remember I have had various troubles with my dear old Jeep. (you can see my "ode to jeep post" in november archives) anyway, we put the jeep up for sale and purchased a new to us, great condition Explorer this weekend! WAHOO!! I love it! it has leather seats, a moon roof (quick interjection: what's the difference between a moon roof and a sun roof anyway? talk amongst yourselves....) it's wonderful to finally have peace of mind when driving with my little man and my big man for that matter! :)

i just had a panic attack, this dumb connection was lost and i thought i had lost my post....AHHH!!

Anyway, now we have a great new car! THEN>>> My church family sent us money to buy the stroller that we registered for and were saving up to buy - JEHOVAH JIREH!! It's soooooo neat to see the Lord continually providing for our needs. It was easy to see Him in college when money would be put on my school bill at the 11th hour, but I am finding it's different in daily life. It's easy to go about my days and not even think to ask God for something like a stroller. Not b/c i don't think that He can provide, i know that He can, I just think that I have come to only save my asking for the big things lately. The Lord has shown me that He cares about the everyday things too, like giving Nate a good job so that we always have food on the table, or asking him for strength to get the dishes done when my back and neck are so sore from carting jackson around all day. so, anyway, this has just been a great week seeing the Lord's provisions for our big and small needs!!

Jackson hit the 10week mark yesterday and he has been so much fun! He is smiling a ton now and beginning to reach out for things that he sees. He has also been gnawing at his hands in search for his thumb. He's starting to get it, but usually ends up sticking his little finger in his eye or getting it stuck up his nose! :) too cute! he had his 2wk appointment and is now 11lbs 1 oz. and 23" long! he is in the 50th percentile for height and weight.

i head off to canada this weekend for my brother joel's wedding on the 5th. i am looking forward to bringing the baby home for everyone to meet and for my mom to be able to spend time with her grandbaby!

trust everyone is doing well! i'll try and post pics now...cross my fingers! (hmm...maybe i will pray for this little thing too! :)

I've been wondering how you were doing, dear! Everyone told me time would fly with a baby but I didn't believe them in the first few months. Jackson's 10 weeks already!?! Sheesh, where did the time go! Seriously, you guys need to get dsl . . . your blogging community must have pictures of little Jax! Have a great time in Canada. Are you and Jackson flying? How are you doing? Are you getting your rest?

Glad to hear from you. Oh us of little faith huh? We too have been amazed at all that God has provided for our little one. I often think to myself, that I don't deserve all the great things God gives us, big and small, everyday!

I believe a moon roof does not, and a sun roof opens up.
