What a different, but wonderful life I now lead! I must say, I REALLY miss reading all of your blogs...and writing in my own, but I am loving being with my little boy all day and I am so thankful for this time and for the healthy boy I have.
I have pics, and will post before his 30th birthday...PROMISE!! :)
Milestones:
Jackson is 4 weeks old (time flies)! and so far he has found his own thumb and started sucking it..too cute!
He managed to completely shower himself, the change table and the WALL during a diaper change. Then a week later showered daddy (LOL) and totally freaked him out! Can anyone say "peepee teepee!!"
He holds his head up and actually shimmied (sp?) himself in a fit of rage from one end of his crib to the other (please pray for his salvation! :)
Anyway, hope that you all are doing well!
Back to feeding!! If anyone finds a "Dairy Queen" T-shirt online or at the mall, please send it to me! :) HA!!

oh, yeah baby! let the showers commence! :) at times i thought connor was holding it in until i changed him. then he just let fly. it takes a while but he'll get it. :) this kills me, first we have to train them to go IN the diaper, then OUT of the diaper into the potty. kids.
Great update!! The first thing Michael said when I told him you guys had a boy was, "Well I guess you should send her a peepee teepee"

Glad to hear everything is going so well for you! I am sure that you are loving being a mommy! I am sure Jackson is getting cuter and cuter - if that is even possible! I think the peepee teepee would be a wise and wonderful investment!

It's funny you mention it. I actually have a Dairy Queen t-shirt! I wore it once at NBBC to brunch and Sarah Slobo. made so much fun of me I was never brave enough to wear it in public again. I had never thought of it in that light. Now I just wear it to bed. :)

Is there seriously something called a peepee teepee?!? I thought you always just cover it quickly with the diaper! I will have to look for one of those when I get a nephew - no, not one on the way yet...
Yeah, I have a funny story about this. I was changing my younger brother, and he shot his pee right into a member of my family's mouth. Yeah, I won't name any names, cuz that's so gross! You gotta be quick with them little boys. :-) Glad to hear everything is going well. You sound so happy!!! Luv ya!

Long live the peepee teepee! :) he's already 4 weeks old?!? Wow, that did go by fast (for us blogging voyeurs). Are you getting some rest? You sound like you're in good spirits; praise God for the grace to get through those beginning weeks. It's going to get way more fun as he gets older . . . then you'll feel less like a milk maid and more like a mommy. :)

I was practicing piano last night-after a long time away - and I was playing through songs from the Sound of Music. I was playing Sixteen Going on Seventeen and started cracking up laughing. Does that bring back any memories? Say, Mall of America on an extension weekend?!? We are dorks!
